In old days medical setups or Institutes were never even thought of taking money in form of advance…but with changing world…now almost all medical setups demands money deposits from relatives of patient. There is nothing wrong in it as no medical health setup refuses emergency treatments on this ground…rather emergency treatment is the task of medical professionals even without thought of money.
There are few noticeable cases where relatives of critical patients had refused the charges of treatment…and abused Doctors…and this could have frustrated medical professional…and slowly the norm of taking money in advance of planned treatment has entered in medical profession…and now become a standardized trend.
But Doctors needs to be very couscous about this issue as unsatisfied relatives may weigh you in balance of money…raise the question of humanity…and demoralize the profession as a whole.
We have seen Doctors visiting houses of patients door to door begging for credit money…So rather not offering credits and demand for money in advance has saved Doctors status.
